Sensory-Friendly
Train Rides
Sun, Moon, & Stars, Inc. is proud to partner with the Railroad Museum of New England to offer sensory-friendly train rides for families on the autism spectrum. Our seasonal events, including the Pumpkin Patch Express, Santa Train, and more, provide a magical, inclusive experience in a judgment-free environment. These special rides are designed to create lasting memories while ensuring sensory accommodations are provided. We’re grateful to the Railroad Museum for their support in making these cherished events possible!

The Railroad Museum of New England
The Railroad Museum of New England (RMNE), located in Thomaston, Connecticut, is dedicated to preserving the rich history of New England's railroad heritage. Established in 1968, the museum aims to educate the public about the important role railroads played in shaping the region's development. With a collection of historic locomotives, cars, and railroad artifacts, the museum offers a unique glimpse into the past through both static displays and live train rides. RMNE operates the Naugatuck Railroad, providing scenic train excursions while also offering educational programs and special events that engage visitors of all ages. Their dedication to preserving history and fostering community engagement makes them an invaluable partner to Sun, Moon, & Stars, Inc., especially in providing sensory-friendly experiences for families on the autism spectrum.
